Spinning the city: the rising NYC DJs behind the booth.

Written by Sarah Finkel | Sep 24, 2025 8:19:24 PM

New York doesn’t sleep, it spins. Behind the velvet ropes and basement doors, a new class of DJs is rewriting what it means to go out — turning club rooms, rooftops and hidden dance floors (even coffee shops and skate parks) into their personal stage.

They’re young, hot, plugged-in and already commanding the booths at the venues that matter. From late-night house selectors to high-energy genre-blenders, these are the names making the city move right now — and the ones you’ll want on your radar before everyone else catches on.

Honorable mentions to the venues and collectives fueling the talent: @soltogether, @gospeltribe, @laissezfaire.nyc, @thesurflodge, @westlightnyc, @publichotels, @marqueeskydeck, @edgenyc, @petite__nyc, @craneclubrestaurant, @cachelife, @azuredayparty, @commongroundeast, @grooveballet & many more.

Beau Cruz

IG Handle: @whoisbeaucruz

From Palm Tree Music Festival and Surf Lodge to opening for Two Friends at The Edge and secret sets with John Summit, Beau Cruz is shaking up the festival-to-nightlife pipeline and we’re here for it. His sound is rooted in house and EDM with a big-room style radiating the kind of energy that travels far beyond the main stage.

Ana Boo

IG Handle: @ana_stasia_boo

Equal parts runway and rooftop, Ana Boo’s sets live at the intersection of fashion and nightlife. Whether she’s soundtracking a Dolce & Gabbana launch in full glam or sending basslines across the Brooklyn Bridge in a high pony, her hypnotic deep-house-meets-disco is wrapped in sleek, high-gloss style.

Numai

IG Handle: @itsnumai

Numai turns every set into a moving installation. From LES skate parks to private clubs like Studio Nur and Chez Margaux, her multicultural genre-pushing sets = true performance art. Futuristic and visually charged—enter a world of melodic house, electronic and techno, fused with Middle Eastern influence.

HOOAH

IG Handle: @deehooah

HOOAH—a versatile king with Ibiza energy, a certified crowd killer and a Cache Lifé resident. He’s never met a rooftop skyline or sweat-drenched nightclub that he hasn’t absolutely slayed with his sound.

Amanduh

IG Handle: @a.man.duhh

Amanduh is what golden hour would look and sound like if it were a DJ. Typically a blend of house and disco, her sets feel like vacation and champagne sprays. Coastal chic and effortlessly cool is the vibe. Duh.

Milö

IG Handle: @milo_muzik

Basically a Gospël resident (shoutout to his unreal openers for Black Coffee), Milö doesn’t just play tracks—he builds rituals. His sets slip between velvety underground house and big-room hypnotics, turning the Somewhere Nowhere rooftop on a Sunday into a sacred deck of worship.

Camila Wölf

IG Handle: @camilawolf__

Camila Wölf spins with claws out—she’s all about the feral femme energy threaded through techno and electro cuts that bite. Think underground cool coded with Berlin-meets-Brooklyn notes. Her sets feel raw, cinematic and slightly dangerous in the best way.

Five Eleven

IG Handle: @fiveelevn

This DJ duo (@emmienielsen & @cho.seward) brings double the glam and double the vibes. The two models and besties have a sixth sense for reading the room at both curated brand launches and hotel roofs, moving seamlessly from house to groovy throwbacks, always with a cool-girl stamp.

TwinFlame

IG Handle: @dj.twinflame

TwinFlame lights fires everywhere, from Groove Ballet block parties to NYFW warehouse pop-ups to the classic big-name clubs. They’re all about the experiential magic with high-key bestie energy.

Dabittan

IG Handle: @dabittan

With a French touch and an Afro-house beat, Dabittan has carved out a lane for himself since first stepping into the booth in 2022—and top talent like Adriatique and Joezi have taken note. His high-octane sets have lit up rooms from Boho House Miami during Music Week to NYC mainstays like Ketchy Shuby, Nebula, Virgo and Public Hotel.

Eyal Hen

IG Handle: @eh_nyc

Most may know Eyal as the founder of NYC staple 19 Cleveland, but few may know him as a DJ with deep house roots after-hours. You can find him pregaming at 19 Cleveland before locking in a late-night groove at Afro-house faves Ketchy Shuby and Gospël, curating a sound that is as much of a spiritual trip as it is house.

Nate Gold

IG Handle: @imnategold

A groove-first selector with a sharp ear for feel-good house and disco edits, Nate Gold is quickly becoming a staple in NYC’s underground. Whether on deck with his experiential arts collective Groove Ballet, vibing through late-night sets or dropping originals, his style leans playful yet polished—rooted in block-party energy and a strong community pull.

Ben Ben

IG Handle: @_bendavid

Finance by day, vinyl king by night. With roots in both global stages and intimate NYC booths, Ben Ben’s sets are less about chasing trends and more about timeless selections that tell a story. Find him curating the vibe at Port Said as the pre-game followed by a late-night spin at a private party with IYKYK DJ legends.

Callum

IG Handle: @officialcallummusic

NYC’s own house groove architect with a magnetic tech house edge. From rooftop sundowners to velvet-roped afters, Callum’s sets balance precision with pulse, layering hypnotic rhythms that keep the room locked in. He has a knack for reading the floor and dialing in the energy at just the right time.

Renée

IG Handle: @renee_nosk

If nightlife had a muse in a little black dress, it would be Renée. Her sets bounce from glitzy rooftops to red-lit basements, stitched together with an editorial eye and that “effortlessly cool girl who actually knows her music” energy.

Mark Wolf

IG Handle: @themarkwolf

Whether spinning for packed nightclubs, Hamptons decks or high-energy day parties, Mark Wolf brings the heat wherever he goes. His original hit “Careless” pairs smooth rhythm with dance-floor accessibility, and there’s more where that came from.

Witz

IG Handle: @witz.dj

Witz brings the kind of energy that makes rooftops feel like festivals and basements feel like main stages. He has a gift for locking people in his orbit, smiles out, hands raised, no phone checking. From Williamsburg’s acclaimed Azure Day Party to Laissez Faire, Witz is quickly moving up in the DJ ranks.

Matty

IG Handle: @mattylightt

Matty’s sets stretch from sunset house to sunrise chaos, all delivered with his signature long-haired, linen-shirted ease. He has a palpable feel good energy that travels from Ketchy Beach to Make Believe to Bodrum. Catch him on the sands, whether it’s winter or summer.
