Aris Yeager The European Kid

If you’ve never fallen victim to an overrated TikTok restaurant… we don’t believe you. In the name of ~class~ (AKA I don’t want to get cancelled), I won’t name names… but if everybody and their wannabe influencer mother is posting about it, there is a solid chance it’s mid. Like, your last situationship, mid.

Enter Aris Yeager — the Greek-American content creator behind the delightfully unhinged and extravagantly Euro persona, “Louis”: a fictional spoiled heir with a taste for caviar and couture. If anyone knows how to spot a restaurant that's all PR and no palate, it’s the guy casually posting from a yacht in the South of France on a Tuesday.

Beyond his viral presence as @theeuropeankid, Aris is also the co-founder of @storytime_nyc, a platform that connects small businesses with influencers to craft scroll-stopping social campaigns.

With an eye for what’s truly worth the buzz, Aris is here to spill NYC restaurants even an ultra-obnoxious European would approve.

Mission Ceviche

Website

Their shrimp tempura is light, crispy and somehow still makes you feel healthy. I always get the pan-seared salmon, too — perfectly cooked and balanced. Skip the octopus though. The texture's off.

Cipriani

Website

Yes, it’s a scene. Yes, the Chicken Club Sandwich is overpriced. But I love it anyway. And their Cipriani burger hits harder than it has any right to.

Mamo

Website

The Milanese is classic, but the caviar pasta is the move — indulgent, but not obnoxious. Feels like a quiet flex.

Artesano

Website

Lima ceviche and octopus ceviche — both slap. Bright, acidic, fresh. Perfect pre-theater if you’re pretending to be cultured.

Keste

Website

Best Margherita pizza I’ve had downtown — doughy, but not too chewy. Their potato croquettes are a little addictive. The name still makes me laugh though.

Pi Bakerie

Website

This is my Greek comfort zone. Their spanakopita is flaky perfection, and I get the plain Greek yogurt like it’s a ritual. Low-key, zero fuss, always good.

Kid Pizza

Website

Fun concept, chaotic energy in the best way. The Pedro Pascal pizza (hot honey, guanciale, ego) is a masterpiece. Definitely not for boring people.

Spicy Village

Website

No frills, just fire food. The hand-pulled noodles and spicy lamb are criminally underrated. Bring cash.

Nish Nush

Website

Ribeye steak in a pita sounds like it shouldn’t work. It does. Messy, juicy, delicious — like a love affair you’ll regret at 3 a.m.

NAR Restaurant

Website

Underrated Turkish spot with bar vibes and shockingly good Adana kebab. Great for when you want something flavorful and satisfying without a whole production.
