One White Street burger

One of my favorite topics of conversation is debating what your last meal would be. I love the thrill of guessing if they’re a McNuggets and Flurry kind of person or a Filet Mignon cooked medium-rare with a side of truffle mashed potatoes kind of person.

I can go either way, honestly… girls who do both <3

You’re bursting with excitement to tell them your extremely well-thought-out response, throwing in a few “umms” to appear more candid.

“Ugh, it’s so hard to choose between sushi and pasta, but if I had to pick…”

The drama. I actually can’t with myself.

So with that, I present to you the dishes I could simply, umm, never live without.

Misipasta Cotechino Sausage Sandwich

Made with sausage, salsa verde, balsamic and aioli, this Misipasta masterpiece is better than any sandwich I’ve ever had in Italy (yes, the OG All’Antico Vinaio, included). I’m not the biggest sausage or sandwich girl tbh, but something about this just hits different… the not-impossible-to-get reservation, cozy aperitivo bar seating and rounds of Hugo Spritzes definitely doesn’t hurt either.

Anton’s Angel Hair Francese

I’ve had nearly every famed pasta dish in New York City: the Sheep’s Milk Aglonotti from Lilia, the Cacio e Pepe from Via Carota… you get the point. Somehow, nothing satisfies my carb cravings more than Anton’s Angel Hair Francese. I may be slightly biased, given that I have a clinical obsession with breadcrumb pasta, but this one in particular is worth running into that guy who breadcrumbed you.

Ume’s Literally Everything Don

If you’re trekking to Brooklyn and not getting Ume’s Literally Everything Don, I’m slightly concerned for your well-being. The perfect blend of uni, A5 wagyu, ikura, toro, Hokkaido scallop and premium Kaluga caviar, this one-of-a-kind dish surpasses its reputation — she’s everything and more.

Dr Clark Uni Tomato Linguine Pasta

While we’re on the topic of raw fish, Dr. Clark’s Uni pasta never misses. To be completely transparent, I’ve never had it with the tomato addition, but there’s no way it’s not as deliciously decadent as the original. I kinda feel like a queen eating a dish this rich and buttery… do you know what I mean?

One White Street’s Wagyu Cheeseburger (Sans Cheese)

One White Street is my favorite restaurant in the city. There, I said it. I would highly recommend nearly everything on the menu, but nothing compares to their Wagyu cheeseburger minus the cheese… I know. I’m weird. Topped with caramelized onions, pickles and a creamy aioli I dream about at least three times a week, this burger is worth the $32 price tag.

Da Toscano’s Tagliata

It takes a lot for a steak to really impress me, but Da Toscano’s Dry-Aged New York Strip blew me away. Addictive garlic butter perfectly coats the (obviously, medium-rare) meat to perfection, and don’t get me started on soaking it all up with their rosemary focaccia — the best bread in the city, by the way.

Prince Street Pizza’s Spicy Vodka Pizza

Nothing makes me happier than leaving “Casa” (Paul’s Casablanca) at 2:00 a.m. and coming home to a giant pie of spicy vodka pizza. Pro Tip: Order it around 12:45 so it’s at your doorstep when you stumble in. I always peel the cheese off of my pizza (once again, sociopath), but Prince Street will forever be the exception to my rule. It’s great burning hot, and exceptional freezing cold.

Brasserie Fouquet's Rack Of Lamb

I don’t typically order ~rack of lamb~ but when I do, it’s from Brasserie Fouquet’s. Located in the ever-so-chic Hôtel Barrière Fouquet's, this red booth-laden brasserie immediately transports you to the streets of Paris. Next to the atmosphere are these melt-in-your-mouth chops that make you forget you ever considered going totally plant-based.

Sushi Yasuda’s Ebi Nigiri

I know I don’t shut the fuck up about Sushi Yasuda, but it really is worth all the hype and then some. I feel like I’m cheating on the King Salmon for this, but the Ebi Nigiri (sweet shrimp for all you uncultured folk) is one of the best bites of sushi I’ve ever consumed. The mixing of sweet and raw fish would typically be unappealing to me, but this singular piece of shrimp has officially converted me.

Lil' Frankie's Pasta Limone

I fully acknowledge this may not be the most original answer, but I need to be real with you guys — Lil' Frankie's Pasta Limone slaps. It’s my “everything” meal — the dish I have when I’m celebrating with a carby treat, when I’m pissed off and need a little pick-me-up and when I’m three martinis deep and practically eating with my hands. Did you guys know Lil' Frankie’s is open till 4 a.m. on weekends?! Extremely important information.
