"You always see cool, beautiful people on the streets of New York City, but where do they go out at night? Why not ask them?"
That's Ellie's school of thought. This fearless, trend-setting New Yorker has done our dirty work for us, and for that we couldn't be more thankful.
Her viral TikTok brand FOR THE GIRLS showcases IRL footage of the city's coolest people and the coolest places they go out.
After a rigorous overhaul of her findings (this includes making a night out of each and every destination in true investigative journalism fashion), Ellie presents to you her top 10 reviewed spots that are worth your time, in no particular order.
The perfect chill/casual bar and trendy spot to hang out with friends that attracts a super cool crowd. Great spot to go to in the summer for hanging outside, drinking some wine and catching up with friends. Great people watching spot too!
GREAT spot to dance at and so much fun! They play popular disco music that you can sing along to and everyone there is friendly and wants to have a good time.
One of my favorite spots for a chill/creative bar mixed with dancing. The crowd is super intricate, very trendy and welcoming of all ages. They also spin vinyl, which makes it unique.
Underground speakeasy club that’s fun for a sexier, upscale night when you’re craving a mix of lounge meets DJs and dancing.
Love this spot! Definitely a great place to start the night with the girls or friends. The food is amazing and the vibe inside is elegant and upscale. They have a main dining area and also a bar that’s intimate.
Upscale cafe meets wine bar with culture. All of the wine is French and tastes amazing. Elvis makes for a good first date spot or a place to start the night with friends. Italian disco later in the night, too!
One of my favorite date night spots in NYC. The ambience is dimly lit with vinyls on the wall. They also have a DJ that comes on the weekends. The drinks and food are immaculate, 10/10 recommend!
YES to Hotel Chelsea. In my opinion this is one of the coolest, chicest bars to go to in New York City. Every cool artist or writer you knew in the 60s, 70s and 80s used to hang out there. Dine at Cafe Chelsea and then get a drink at the Lobby bar!
Social bar meets the dancing club downstairs. Definitely one of the most friendly bars I’ve been to, everyone is very approachable. Start your night with a drink upstairs and then head down for DJs and dancing.
The cutest cocktail bar where you can curate your own cocktails! Basically you tell the waitress/waiter what you like in a drink and they come back with something that matches your description.
