While the weekenders are busy name-dropping Sant Ambroeus and Le Bilboquet on their morning run to Golden Pear (and likely selling their soul to get a res), you know better. The real ones dine at the low-key spots that still have charm, flavor and vibes.
And they don’t require DMing that PR acquaintance you talked to once or joining a middle-aged man’s prime-time reservation just for a seat in the action (and a comped rib-eye).
And yes, we are aware that some contenders might stick out as the opposite of low-key on this list, but everything’s relative when it comes to out east territory.
