The “Alexa Silverman” types, you know, the ones with resumes including Riverdale, Wisconsin and Tawanda, love to call themselves Talkhouse “experts.” That’s cute. Let’s be real — there are very few people who know the Amagansett institution like Ruby Honerkamp.
A lifelong East Hampton native, Ruby grew up steeped in dive bar culture. From an early age, she dreamed of building on the legacy of Stephen Talkhouse, her family’s iconic live music venue.
Ruby’s longtime vision became a reality in 2022, when she joined forces with her father and brother to launch Talkhouse Encore. True to its name, the spirits-based seltzer line captures the essence — and quality — of a drink poured at the legendary bar.

The Halyard at Soundview
Technically the North Fork, but worth the drive. It has gorgeous waterfront views and live piano karaoke on Wednesdays. Feels like a fever dream in the best way.
The Montauket
An old-school gem with the best sunset view in Montauk.
