It’s the dead of winter in New York, so naturally, everybody is fleeing to Aspen, Mont Blanc or Zermatt.

Disclaimer: Please take the above with a grain of (Jennifer Fisher) salt. When we say “everybody,” we mean those who frequent Casa Cip, deem themselves as red wine connoisseurs and use “Aprés ski” as a verb.

Whether you’re in Colorado or the Swiss Alps, let’s not pretend you’re actually spending exorbitant amounts of money to hit the slopes... like BFR (be for real). Most of the time, you’re there to post pictures of you drinking Moët from the bottle and eating caviar you don’t know how to pronounce. Absolutely no judgment, but if you’re doing so, you best be doing it in style.

Who better to curate your “Aprés chic” wardrobe than our Stylist in Residence, Summer Puricelli? Summer, who goes bySumthingStyled on Instagram, should really teach a master class in “if you know, you know” dressing. Winter hotspots are filled with girls (and guys) who are try-hard AF, but rest assured, those words are not in Summer’s vocabulary.

A Negroni and oversized Frankie Shop blazer in person form, Summer’s style is classy and sophisticated with a funky cool-girl edge. Offering services like personal shopping to closet refreshes and everything in between, Summer is definitely one to watch… and we’ll get to say we knew her before she was famous ;)

If you’re looking to be the most “fluent” girl on the mountain (literally, who isn’t?), indulge yourself in Summer’s chalet-chic lookbook, broken down into Lux and Affordable picks. *books flight immediately*

Long Coat

A long coat brings just enough drama to turn heads, making it easy to layer up underneath while still allowing the jacket to be the outfit. These make for easy packing because they’re super versatile and can be worn during the day or to dinner at night.

Fur Jacket

Warm, textured and funky. A fur jacket makes everything look elevated — even snow boots. Style with warm leggings or pants, a beanie and sunnies!

Puffer

A puffer gets the job done without looking like you're trying too hard. Velvet or shiny, burgundy is the color of the season. Super functional for all of your looks, both on and off the mountain.

Ski Suit

Ski suits are equal parts functional and cool and extremely easy to style. Similar to the long coat, a ski suit speaks for herself

Snow Boots

Snow boots that scream cute vs “practical” are a must. Go for designs with fur or chunky soles to stand out. I think about these Chloé boots daily, and if your style is a bit funkier like mine, you’ll probably get use out of them in NYC, too.

Beanie

A classic fitted beanie in a bold color or with a subtle pattern is essential, and nothing says Aprés Chic like Fair Isle print.

Sunglasses

Sunglasses aren’t optional. I love oversized pairs that give a ski goggle vibe… no one needs to know if you’re actually here for skiing or shopping.

Bandana Scarf

Wrap it around your neck, knot it over your hair or let it peek out of a pocket. Bandana Scarves are an unexpected detail that makes everything look cooler (and will keep you warm).

Sweater

A sweater is an obvious choice for something chic and cozy, both on and off the slopes. Fair Isle again because I couldn’t resist, but this time, I would style this post-ski with a cooler cargo pant, boots and a long coat. For the day, layer it with a turtleneck, puffer, ski pants and a beanie.

Gloves

Gloves are a must. Leather with a fur trim keeps you warm while looking polished. Love these for winter looks both on and off the slopes.
